Radha Shukla started her career in public health as she began her medical training in India. She developed a passion for maternal and child health while practicing at various clinical postings in rural India. Her desire to understand public health measures to improve maternal and child health drove her to pursue a Ph.D. in global public health at the University of York, UK, where she worked on maternal tobacco use in low and middle-income countries.
