Se Lim was born and raised in South Korea and moved to Edmonton, Alberta, Canada when she was 15. She joined the IGHRG as a research assistant after earning a Bachelor’s degree in nutrition and food science from the University of Alberta in 2013.

 

Over the past several years, Se Lim has worked on many projects with the IGHRG and travelled across Edmonton and to the Northwest Territories to meet with people, present research findings and health information, and make invaluable memories with colleagues, research partners, and communities. Her research interests are social determinants of health and health equity among diverse ethnic groups. She is currently a graduate student, wife, and mom to an energetic boy.
