Cancer is a serious and potentially fatal disease present all over the world. There are hundreds of variations as cancer can develop in virtually any part of the body. This makes treatment and finding a cure difficult. Cancer is caused by a variety of interacting factors ranging from the environment, genetics and lifestyle aspects such as diet and physical activity. Research has shown that for some cancers, incidence and treatment can be positively affected by early detection (screening), diet modification and physical activity interventions. Education about these possible preventative measures is a global need, particularly for those peoples living in remote areas and in developing areas of the world, affected by limited financial means and education.
