Karel is a registered dietitian who was born and raised in Québec. After obtaining her Bachelor's degree in Dietetics with a focus on public health nutrition from the University of Montréal, she moved to British Columbia to be closer to the mountains. Karel is passionate about public health initiatives and research that aim to improve the overall well-being of the population. She strongly advocates for equal access to food and healthcare and is excited to put her passions and skills to work with the IGHRG.
She is also an outdoor and sports enthusiast. Outside work, you will find her rock climbing, spending time in nature, cooking, and exploring the world.
