Owen Alstad
Research Assistant

Owen is a recent graduate, having received a Bachelor of Science in General Sciences with a focus on Biology and Psychology at the University of British Columbia. He was born and raised in British Columbia, Canada and looks forward to contributing to the IGHRG as he has been involved in other volunteer research opportunities through the university and local hospital. Owen is passionate about pursuing a career in optometry and is currently studying to achieve this goal.
In his free time, Owen likes to flyfish, make his own flies through fly tying techniques, hunt, hike, and be outdoors or surrounded by friends and family. Being outside and learning more about nature, especially insects, has recently become one of his favourite past times.
